Stepping into the production site of a Southeast Asian gold mine customer, the plant area is well-organized and clean, equipped with complete dust and wastewater treatment facilities. Thirty workers operate in two shifts under standardized procedures. This site, tailored to the characteristics of local gold rock deposits, employs a combined “crushing → grinding → gravity separation + flotation” process, balancing gold ore recovery with environmental requirements. The entire process layout is compact and the workflow is rational.
In the crushing workshop, jaw crushers first crush the raw ore to below 30mm. After further crushing by impact crushers, it is screened by vibrating screens. Unqualified materials are returned to the fine crushing stage, forming a closed-loop cycle. In the grinding area, ball mills and classifiers work in tandem to grind the ore to approximately -200 mesh (70%), ensuring sufficient liberation of gold minerals from gangue, preparing for subsequent separation.
The sorting area is the core, where gravity separation equipment and flotation machines work together. First, coarse gold particles are recovered through gravity separation, then fine gold particles are enriched by flotation, using xanthate as a collector and pine oil as a frother. Staff precisely control the reagent ratios and pulp concentration. In the central control room, equipment operating parameters and gold grade are monitored in real time, achieving semi-automatic control of the grinding and sorting processes.
In the dewatering and purification stage, thickeners and filters operate sequentially to dewater the flotation concentrate to below 10% moisture content. This is followed by cyanide purification to finally obtain qualified gold concentrate. According to the on-site manager, this production line processes 1200 tons of raw ore per day, with a gold grade of 1.2 g/t, a gold recovery rate of over 92%, and a wastewater reuse rate of 90%. All indicators meet industry standards, accurately reflecting the actual operating status of a gold mine beneficiation site.
