Its basic principle is to utilize the differences in the physicochemical properties of mineral surfaces, using the carrying effect of air bubbles in the slurry to separate valuable minerals from gangue.

Traditional flotation machines rely on impeller agitation to generate bubbles, while the new generation of airlift microbubble flotation machines uses full-section airlift technology. Through a special principle and structure, it can generate ultrafine bubbles with a diameter of only 0.3 mm, with the number of bubbles reaching 30-40 times that of conventional flotation machines. These denser, finer bubbles can achieve more thorough contact and adsorption with fine-grained minerals, significantly improving flotation recovery rates and allowing for the efficient utilization of fine-grained minerals that were previously wasted due to their “fine particle size and difficulty in recovery.”

This equipment has outstanding advantages such as simple structure, convenient maintenance, high recovery rate, low reagent consumption, and long service life of wearing parts, reducing energy consumption by more than 80%. Current development priorities for flotation equipment include larger equipment size, automated control, and energy conservation. Large flotation machines can reduce infrastructure investment, floor space, and power consumption, and are easier to automate.
