Belt conveyor
Mineral processing belt conveyors are the most commonly used continuous conveying equipment in mines and mineral processing plants. They are used for the horizontal or inclined transport of materials such as ore, tailings, and finished products, spanning the entire process from crushing, screening, grinding, beneficiation, to finished product storage.
Working Principle:
Using a rubber conveyor belt as the load-bearing and traction component, a motor and reducer drive the drive drum to rotate. The friction between the drum and the belt drives the belt’s movement, and the material moves continuously with the belt, achieving long-distance, high-volume conveying.
Equipment Structure:
Conveyor Belt: Wear-resistant, tensile-resistant, and impact-resistant, commonly made of rubber/nylon.
Drive Unit: Motor, reducer, and drive drum provide power.
Idler Roller Assembly: Upper idlers carry the material, and lower idlers support the belt, ensuring stable operation.
Frame: Welded channel steel/steel pipe, providing a robust structure.
Tensioning Device: Screw/counterweight tensions maintain belt tension and prevent slippage.
Redirecting Drums, Scrapers, and Discharge Devices: Used for steering, cleaning, and point-to-point discharge.
Equipment Features:
Smooth conveying, no material damage, no spillage, low noise
Long conveying distance, large carrying capacity, suitable for long-distance continuous operation
Simple structure, easy installation, commissioning, and maintenance
Reliable operation, low failure rate, suitable for harsh mining environments
Low energy consumption, low operating costs
